ORISE Fellow at the Mycosis Diseases Branch in the National Center for Zoonotic and Emerging Infectious Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Biologist, with Masters in Tropical Diseases by Faculdade de Medicina de Botucatu (UNESP, Brazil), and PhD. in Infectious and Parasitic diseases by Faculdade de Medicina (UFMS, Brazil). Currently working with genomic epidemiology of fungal pathogens. Has experience in applied immunology specifically in experimental models of invasive fungal diseases as host-parasite relationship in different strains of mice during Disseminated and Pulmonary Mucormycosis.
